So much of how we think of Vampires is entwined with Bram Stoker's book Dracula, but what folklore inspired Stoker. We explore the pre Dracula era that led to the rise of the Vampire; from ancient blood sucking entities, to Eastern European graveyards, to Western paranoia. Leaning heavily on Nick Broom's book 'Vampire A New History'.
